This made me laugh

So this girl gave me her number while I was working last night. Decided to text her once I slowed down for fun. Got this entertainment. Notice how I state my name then she asks my name. Also, she wrote her name on the paper she wrote her number on. She's not the brightest so it seems.

Long time project

Salehe Black asked for a pic in response to my comment on his The Dice Box post. So here are some flix. I'm going to have this entire thing covered sooner rather than later.

Magnetic Man – Getting Nowhere (ft. John Legend)

A good thing about having no TV in the room I'm staying in while in New York is that I listen to a lot of new music every night. As you can tell I've been sharing. I've always been a fan of John Legend and this song continues my fandom. Although, he's only featured. Check out the video and infer what you want about the symbolism in it.

Bassnectar 2010 IDJ Mixtape FREE

2010idj

Bassnectar dropped his 2010 IDJ Mixtape this morning (like literally in the last few hours) for FREE via his podcast. Direct linkage here. Say thank you later. It's DOPE! A favorite on the mix is a revamp Bassnectar style of The Pixies Where Is My Mind. ENJOY!

"Welcome to another Bassnectar Transmission. This episode is 44 minutes and 25 seconds of 10th-generation genre-re-wiring, exploring bass music through an open-minded lens, regardless of tempo, or even beat-structure… this sound clash aims straight for your body, with the intent to melt you down into a fidgeting, wobbling mess of enthusiasm and delight. In addition to some of my favorite old records and samples, this mix features several brand new Bassnectar tracks, heaps of exclusive edits, re-edits, and re-re-re-edits. Lot’s of re. Lot’s of mix. Lot’s of edits. We tore our favorite drum & bass to shreds, injected hip hop with some pogo-stick bass, amped up the tempo of dubstep, freaked out the gypsies, gave a nod to the dreamy 80’s and ended up similar to where we started off: omni-tempo maximalism strikes again. Tracklisting

The Hype Machine

Forgot I joined this website a long time ago. However, if you've never checked out The Hype Machine do it. NOW. I realized too few people know about this site when only ONE, a poor ONE of my Twitter peeps are on the site. Especially fun is their Music Blog Zeitgiest 2010.

How to fix your computer

Figured I'd share this to a broader audience. Pretty much what I do whenever my friends call/text/ask me in person to fix something on their computers. It's pretty simple so follow the flow chart.

Nice find Salehe Black.

Noooo!

Farmville

New York

I'll be there the 18-25th seeing my family and friends. Also, relaxing when I can. See you there. Maybe. Probably not.

Music, music, music.

Thanks to Treble over at Food 4 Ears for the Where Did It All Go Wrong post. I hadn't realized how much good music I missed out on this year by being trapped in a Top 40 work environment and life. Outside of Bonnaroo I don't think I experienced and new music this year and that's just sad. If you're into music (as anyone who knows me should be) make sure to work your way over to his blog and subscribe. A fellow Belmont alum and he knows his shit (his real name isn't Treble btw). So far today I've listed to Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and The Arcade Fire's The Suburbs. Kanye's album is ridiculous. I expect it to enter heavy roation as long as the Kanye West & Jay-Z collabo Watch The Throne doesn't drop too soon. The Arcade Fire didn't do it for me. Might be why I've never listened to them. However, it's not gettin taken out of my library. I'll listen to it again when I'm in that mood. That's all for now. Working tonight and tomorrow night and visiting family in NYC soon.
